Criterion Channel Brings the Best 80s Horror Movies to Stream in October

Criterion Channel kicks off the Halloween season with a flurry of great horror films as part of its 80s horror series. The lineup arrives October 1 and includes classics from around the world and under-the-radar gems. The jackpot ? almost darka notoriously difficult film to stream.

almost dark is a 1987 vampire action horror film by Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker). Despite this cult classic starring Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen, and coming from a lauded American action director, it has rarely been available on streaming platforms for one reason or another. The series will also include another vampire classic in Tony Scott Hungerwho will join the lineup on November 1.
